But I’ve been on the same version for a while, and try to keep any OCD updating in check. Disclaimer: when I say that you can run with it, there are updates fairly often. It’s about as a must-have as ortho photo scenery is, IMO. In summary, maybe an hour or two of work to install, read the important parts of the manual, and configure your first flight. Furthermore, people are adding taxi routes for popular airports for download on, so chances are pretty good that you won’t have to build them. However, most of those by known developers, like MisterX, have good traffic routes as part of the airport scenery. Since WT was somewhat under the radar prior to v3, there are a bunch of freeware airports that either do not have taxi routes added, or have incorrect ones. One caveat is that for it to work, there must be taxi routes at your departure and arrival airports. The steps are 1) install the plugin 2) download and install the AI aircraft 3) downloads real routes if you care 4) configure and fly. But once 3 is setup, and it’s not difficult, you can basically run with it. Not having jumped on board since version 3, it’s hard to compare what came before. Weve added a ground and air traffic making your favorite airport and airroutes alive and interesting for your flights. One can select an aircraft on radar and view the flight, which is quite addictive. There is also a simulated radar to track current flights near your departure and arrival airports. If the scenery that you are using has WED ground routes in the design, then WT3 will be able to create flights, including SIDs/STARs and pushback/taxi routes to bring your scenery to life. Also, some, but not all custom scenery have these WED ground routes added. Most of the default scenery in X-plane have WED (World Editor) designed ground routes built in. <- That was a mouthful, but what does it mean? There are a number of new features, but from what I gather, the most important of these is the plugin’s ability to auto generate ground routes associated with either generated or actual flight schedules, from the WED ground routes and traffic flows built in to X-Plane and some well designed custom scenery. Important note: This plugin may not work with. World Traffic 3 is the most comprehensive traffic application for X-Plane. This is 25 traffic density and 3 minutes between runway activities. Compatibility with future versions of the simulator has not been tested. Same textures and everything, will have to check the performance with X-Plane to avoid bias as I did upgrade some components not too long ago.Cheers Now the hit is still there and can take X-Plane from 35 to 32 FPS on a moderate setting in the provided Settings dialog. For good performance, you need 2Gb Video Card, with HDR mode ON. The bridge for some odd reason is ignored by ai.In case you haven’t heard, a new and much improved version of World Traffic has been released, v3.07 as of this post. X-Plane 10.36-11.00 (64 bit only), CPU: 2,4Ghz Multi-core. Note: there is an odd bug on the taxiways that bridge over the roadways in this scenery. You need the payware EDDM Munich Airport by Short Final Design To install, remove any previous EDDM ground routes and drop this into you xplane main directory. Routes have been edited to look and flow reasonably well and the secondary taxiways, Blue and Red are modeled for narrow bodies to use while larger planes use the main. Various hard stands are available for overflow including the cargo ramp that can park large passenger planes. Terminal 1 is for all other airlines while Terminal 2 is for Lufthansa and other Star Alliance partners. Just about all airline gates modeled with airlines parking where they should based on what info i could gather from sources such as the airport's website etc.
